Affiliate disclosure

Last updated 9 August 2026.

Current status: no affiliate links are live on this site. DebtReliefScout is an independent resource, and right now nothing you click here earns us a commission or referral fee. Every outbound link on the site is a plain, unpaid one. The policy below is what applies if and when that changes — under the U.S. FTC's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255), which require transparency about any "material connection".

It costs you nothing extra

Affiliate commissions never change the terms, fees or rates a provider offers you — they are the same whether you use our link or go directly.

Commissions do not change our guidance

We present options on fit and risk, and we put free or lower-risk routes first — a nonprofit credit counselor (NFCC), a debt management plan, or talking to creditors directly. We say plainly when settlement or a merchant cash advance is expensive or risky. No provider pays us today, and the commitment above applies from the moment one does.

Networks

We have no live affiliate or CPA relationship with any debt-relief or lending provider today, so we name none as a partner. If we sign one, it will be listed here, the outbound link will carry a rel="sponsored" attribute, and a short disclosure will appear next to the call-to-action, not only on this page. Free, non-affiliate resources (like the NFCC and the SBA) are linked plainly and always will be — we are not paid for those.

Not a provider or advisor

DebtReliefScout is informational only and is not a lender, debt-relief company, credit counselor, or financial, legal or tax advisor. Questions? Contact microtools.contact@gmail.com.
